Laurelvale has a great history and tradition of cricket, so, in the summer term Mr Ritchie enjoys taking Kwik Cricket coaching sessions at Laurelvale Cricket Club or in the school grounds every Monday afternoon from 3.00 - 4.00pm. Children from Primary 5 - 7 learn batting, bowling and fielding skills and always finish with a game. We have had a successful couple of years entering tournaments at Laurelvale CC involving schools from the local area. Both our mixed and girls only teams have competed well and reached one semi-final and one final. Many of our boys and girls play successfully for Laurelvale CC Under 11 team and indeed have went on to play for the adult teams as well. 

Congratulations to the boys from our B team who today (25/5/18) made it all the way to the final of the Laurelvale cricket tournament , beating Portadown Integrated and Edenderry on the way to the final before losing out to a very strong Seagoe A team. Our A team also played very well, narrowly losing out in their first match and finishing with 1 win overall.
